Clifton Hill House - Bristol
Licensed to hold marriage and civil partnership ceremonies Clifton Hill House carries all the hallmarks of Georgian Clifton, with its honey coloured stone, elegant reception rooms and rambling gardens.
More a mansion than a house, it was built around 1747 in the grand Palladian style for Bristol merchant Paul Fisher and was later the home of Victorian writer John Addington Symonds.

The Black Horse Inn - Thurnham, Kent
Tucked beneath the steep face of the North Downs on the Pilgrims Way is The Black Horse, a homely and welcoming Inn adorned with hops and beams with an open log fireplace to welcome you in winter.
The actual age of the Inn is not known, but in the 18th century it may well have been a forge with adjoining barns and stables owned by the Fuller family. Between 1744 and 1751 the buildings were converted to an inn and given the present name. This is a great place for your Civil Ceremony and/or your reception.
